  1. I had observed regarding the values of x for items numbers 1-3 is that the values of x are repeated.
  2. For the items numbers 4-6, there is no repetition in the value of x.
  3. If there is no repetition in the first element, then the relation presented is a function. However, if there is a repetition in the first element, then it is a relation but not a function.

  1. I didn’t encounter any difficulties in determining whether the given relation is a function or not.
  2. I could determine or verify if the given relation is a function or not through knowing whether the relation is a function and if a function relates each element in the domain to only one element in the range. This means that each vertical line you draw through the x-axis can intersect the function at only one point.
